HRD conducts training on legal issues, public service values

The Human Resource Development (HRD) Unit conducted the Division Training on Legal Concerns and Public Service Values at Westwood Farm, Care, Tarlac City on January 17 and 19, 2017.

            The training was participated by education program supervisors, public schools district supervisors, school heads and school health and nutrition personnel. This aimed to familiarize participants on Administrative Rules and Proceedings in the Department of Education, instill dedication and commitment to profession and advance participants’ understanding and appreciation of public service values.           

Atty. Orencia on Training on legal issues

              The first day commenced with Atty. Christan Rhee Delfin B. Orencia, DepEd Division of Tarlac Province legal consultant, discussing administrative offenses and their corresponding punishment. Orencia also gave the participants a clear understanding on Administrative Procedures.

            Meanwhile, Atty. Mykedox Knoel T. Cuchapin discussed the Anti-Sexual Harassment Law and Anti-Bullying Law which reminded everyone to value the dignity of every individual and give respect to human rights. The rights to professional and fair treatment for teachers were elaborated by Atty. Myla M. Matic.

            The second day centered on values formation. Rev. Fr. Arlo Bernardo S. Yap, SVD Coordinator for Biblical Apostolate and Social Communication touched the hearts of the participants as shown in their teary-eyed faces during his talk.

            Father Yap made the supervisors and school administrators realize the value of human conduct, integrity, humanity, fairness, justice, equality and love.

            Dr. Estrelita Sagmit Cunanan, the Schools Division Superintendent reasserted that school managers must possess moral and spiritual norms and values to attain the highest standard of stewardship.
