DepED Tarlac Province conducts orientation on eHRIS

By DR. LAWRENCE M. SANTIAGO, PDO II, LRMDS

To achieve a 100 percent compliance of all DepED Tarlac Province personnel on accomplishing the electronic Personal Data Sheet (e-PDS) form, an orientation-workshop on Enterprise Human Resource Information System (eHRIS) was conducted to all division-based personnel and school Information and Communication Technology (ICT) coordinators on May 8-12, 2017.

“The eHRIS is basically a human resource management software, which integrates human resource services with information technology,” says Officer-In-Charge Administrative Officer IV (Personnel) Mrs. Mary Rose A. Corpuz. “This program would allow us to process routine H.R. (human resource) services online.”

Meanwhile, Information Technology Officer Engr. Eric Mel P. Corpuz, who led the five-day training along with the Division eHRIS Team, stressed that this period should be the best time to create the accounts.

“This (eHRIS) software shares its bandwidth with that of the L.I.S. (Learner Information System) and E.B.E.I.S. (Enhanced Basic Education Information System),” explained Corpuz. “And because we have been experiencing difficulty in accessing these programs online, we have to start as soon as possible to achieve our goals in time.”

As of July 2016 data, DepED Tarlac Province has 7,970 teaching and non-teaching personnel.

Also present in the roll-out was the Division eHRIS team, which aims to provide technical assistance so as to hasten the creation of the said online accounts. The team includes OIC-AO IV Corpuz, ITO Corpuz, Personnel Unit Staff Mr. Benigno A. Manalese, Jr., Learning Resource Management and Development System (LRMDS) Project Development Officer Dr. Lawrence M. Santiago, and school personnel representatives Mr. Richard L. Sison, Ms. Maria Victoria N. Timbol, Dr. Ryan G. De Guia, Ms. Jinet Joy M. Liwanag, Mr. Alvin E. Espejo, and Mr. Alton Alvar E. Domingo.

The eHRIS is said to automate core HR management functions and routine services, enhance HR systems and processes to support personnel in delivery of prompt, uninterrupted, efficient, and responsive services to its clients; and would be the single source of truth for HR information.

“The eHRIS is a very promising HR software, with its functions and applications. And when it is fully-operational, our services may be a lot faster and more efficient. We may even monitor our benefits online,” adds OIC-AO IV Corpuz. “That is why we are encouraging the employees of the Division to accomplish their accounts accurately and promptly.”
